PIPELINE COMPATIBILITY // MULTI-FORMAT SUPPORT
Supported EEG Data Formats & Automatic Channel Normalization
EEG acquisition hardware varies widely across clinical research laboratories. Meridian Engine ingests all standard electrophysiological formats and standardizes channel coordinate spaces automatically.
Supported File Formats
- European Data Format (.edf / .edf+): 16-bit multi-channel recordings with embedded epoch annotations.
- BioSemi Data Format (.bdf / .bdf+): 24-bit high-dynamic-range ActiveTwo systems up to 256 channels.
- Neuromag / MNE Python (.fif): Native Python scientific neuroimaging format.
- BrainVision (.vhdr / .vmrk / .eeg): Brain Products clinical and mobile hardware recordings.
- EEGLAB (.set / .fdt): MATLAB EEGLAB continuous or epoched datasets.
Automatic 10-20 Montage Standardization
Regardless of sensor label capitalization (e.g. FP1 vs Fp1 vs EEG Fp1-Ref) or custom laboratory montage maps, Meridian maps all electrodes onto the standardized international 10-20 spherical montage, enabling accurate topographies during Picard ICA.
